MINUTES

The Johnsburg Sanitary District Commission met on Wednesday, June 16th, 2010, for the purpose of conducting a special business meeting. Members present were President Franz Schmitz and Commissioners Ken Schneider and Dennis Lefeber and Recording Secretary Brenda Schneider.
1. Call to order. President Schmitz called the meeting to order at 10:02 a.m.
2. Consideration and possible approval of an application to tap the main submitted by Delmar Faust. The Permit Issuer for the Town of Calumet has been withholding the building permit due to the sewer service issue. Ken Schneider motioned to approve the permit to tap the main, seconded by Dennis Lefeber. Motion carried (3-0).
3. Meyer Court sewer extension. Three easements need to be secured due to the shift of the main away from the roadway. The main will be a few feet away from the right-of-way line. Dennis Lefeber moved to request a written review of the three easements by the District’s legal counsel with reimbursement of the associated costs to be made by the Meyers, seconded by Ken Schneider. Motion carried (3-0).
The Meyers established an escrow account and Town and Country’s certification of insurance has been received.
Construction began this morning.
4. Commissioners’ reports and comments. The area received 3” of rain yesterday. Brian Schmitz will review the flow data when he does his weekly meter readings on Thursday.
The Commission has had several extra meetings in the past month. The Commission will discuss charging a fee for special meetings during their July 6th meeting.
Fond du Lac Sanitary District No. 2 recently submitted a bill to Taycheedah Sanitary District No. 1 for costs related to operation & maintenance and treatment during a period of 2003-2005. TSD#1’s meter was not operating properly during this period. Discussion will occur at future meetings.
An insert will be included with the second quarter billing notifying residents that home inspections will begin soon.
5. Adjournment. President Schmitz declared the meeting adjourned at 11:02 a.m.
