MINUTES

The Town of Taycheedah Comprehensive Planning Committee met on Thursday, November 17th, 2011, at 6:30 p.m., at the Taycheedah Town Hall. Members present were: Ed Braun, Jerry Guelig, Tim Krawczyk, Neal Nett, Rebecca Ries, Brenda Schneider, Joanne Thome, Joe Thome, and Mike Wirtz. Also present were consultant Jeff Sanders and one interested person.

1. Call to Order. Chairman Ed Braun called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.

2. Approve the minutes of the 10/17/11 meeting. Mike Wirtz motioned, seconded by Rebecca Ries, to approve the minutes of the 10/17/11 meeting. Motion carried (9-0).

3. Review and discuss revisions to the Code of Ordinances and maps.

The following revisions to the Code of Ordinances were discussed:

Section 13-1-8(b), Aquaculture. Add to the definitions Aquaculture as defined by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.

Section 13-1-8(b), Commercial Feedlot. Committee consensus was to delete from the definitions.

Section 13-1-8(b)(106), Roadside Stand. Committee further discussed the need for a definition that would be applicable to ag-land owners selling their products in an area other than 50 square feet at the roadside. Committee consensus was to change 50 square feet to 200 square feet. Mr. Sanders reported his research on the topic. He found several municipal ordinances that classify roadside stands as a permitted use and farm markets as a conditional use. A farm market being a farm involved in a retail operation conducted within the parcel of land other than the 200 square feet. Research of sample ordinances will be compiled for future Committee consideration and subsequent insertion to the Town's ordinance.

Section 13-1-52(c)(1)(b)(1), Agricultural Uses and Accessory Uses. Revise to change 50 square feet to 200 square feet.

Section 13-1-52(d)(4), Farm Market. Revision will be needed to add language related to farm markets as a conditional use.

Section 13-1-56, Industrial District. Committee consensus was to not amend the current language.

Exterior Lighting Ordinance. A draft edited version was presented. The Committee will consider the draft at the next meeting.
