MINUTES

The Town of Taycheedah Comprehensive Planning Committee met on Thursday, December 8th, 2011, at 6:30 p.m., at the Taycheedah Town Hall. Members present were: Ed Braun, Neal Nett, Rebecca Ries, Brenda Schneider, Joanne Thome, Joe Thome, and Mike Wirtz. Excused were Jerry Guelig and Tim Krawczyk. Also present was one interested person.

1. Call to Order. Chairman Ed Braun called the meeting to order at 6:37 pm.

2. Approve the minutes of the 11/19/11 meeting. Motion by Mike Wirtz, second by Joe Thome, to approve the minutes of the 11/19/11 meeting. Motion carried (7-0-2 excused).

3. Review and discuss revisions to the Code of Ordinances and maps.

The following revisions to the Code of Ordinances were discussed:

Section 13-1-8(b), Farm Market. Add to the definitions Farm Market. A use, building or structure, which principally involves the retail sales of farm and garden products, regardless of whether such products were produced on the premises.

Section 13-1-52(c)(1)(p), Farm Market (permitted use). Add Farm Market must comply with 91.01(1)(d), Wis. Stats. and employ no more than three (3) persons.

Section 13-1-52(d)(4)(c), Farm Market (conditional use). Add Farm Market must comply with 91.01(1)(d), Wis. Stats. and employ four or more persons.

Exterior Lighting Ordinance. Motion by Joanne Thome, second by Rebecca Ries, to not adopt an Exterior Lighting Ordinance. Motion failed (2-5-2 excused).

Additional modifications to section 9, Submission of Plans and Evidence of Compliance with Ordinance, Subdivision Plats, will be made to the draft. The draft will reviewed at the next meeting.

Committee began the mapping portion of the project by identifying agricultural lands as Exclusive Ag (A-1) or General Ag (A-2). It is expected that more A-2 changes will be proposed once the base farm tracts are identified.

Mapping exercises yet to be completed are as follows:
Agricultural land as A-1 or A-2,
Overlay district parcels,
Mixed use district parcels, and
Base farm tracts.

4. Schedule the next meeting. Tuesday, January 24th (with Mr. Sanders), at 6:30 pm.

6. Adjournment. Motion by Joe Thome, second by Mike Wirtz, to adjourn at 9:46 p.m. Motion carried (7-0-2 excused).
