MINUTES

The Town of Taycheedah Comprehensive Planning Committee met on Thursday, January 17th, 2013, at 6:30 p.m., at the Taycheedah Town Hall. Members present were: Ed Braun, Jerry Guelig, Tim Krawczyk, Neal Nett, Rebecca Ries, Brenda Schneider and Mike Wirtz. Excused were: Joanne Thome and Joe Thome. Also present were Jeff Sanders, the Town's consultant, and one interested resident.

1. Call to Order. Chairman Ed Braun called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.

2. Approve the minutes of the 9/27/12 meeting. Motion by Rebecca Ries, second by Jerry Guelig, to approve the minutes of the 9/27/12 meeting. Motion carried (7-0).

3. Status of DATCP certification.

The Town's submittal has yet to be sent to Department of Agriculture, Trade & Consumer Protection (DATCP).

Fond du Lac County is still awaiting DATCP certification. Once the County Plan is certified, the Town will submit for certification.

DATCP now requires a public hearing and Town Board adoption prior to the submittal.

DATCP requires that the maps be converted into one of two specific mapping systems. OMNNI will convert the maps for the Town.

Mr. Sanders is aware of a few minor revisions to the Zoning Ordinance that DATCP has required of others. He will provide the revisions for incorporation into the Zoning Ordinance before the public hearing.

4. Discuss revisions to the Subdivision Ordinance.

Mr. Sanders explained the draft revisions to the Subdivision Ordinance. Committee will discuss the revisions in detail during their next meeting.

Committee may re-visit the future land use designation of some lands between the Ledge and the Lake.

5. Discuss next steps. A public hearing will be held on March 7th, at 7:00 pm. The Comprehensive Planning Committee will meet for a public informational session, the Plan Commission will conduct the public hearing immediately following the informational session, and the Town Board will then convene for a special meeting to consider final approval.

The next Committee meeting will be Thursday, February 21st, at 6:30 p.m. Committee will continue its' work pertaining to the Subdivision Ordinance.

6. Public Comment. Information submitted by Joe Ziegler was distributed. Mr. Ziegler is interested in building four multi-family units on land he owns in Peebles. The land is currently zoned B-1, Business with public sewer. The Future Land Use Map identifies the land to remain business. The Comprehensive Plan would need to be revised in order to accommodate Ziegler's request.

7. Adjournment. Motion by Mike Wirtz, second by Neal Nett, to adjourn the meeting at 9:47 p.m. Motion carried (7-0).
