1. Call to order.
2. Approval of minutes of the 8/10/17 meeting.
3. Consideration and possible approval to tap the sewer main for a new home on Johnsburg Road.
4. Discussion and possible action regarding operational issues:
a. Lift stations.
b. Grinder pump stations.
c. Odor issues.
d. Other operational issues.
5. Approval of District bills.
6. Review the draft Operation & Maintenance Agreement submitted by Taycheedah Sanitary District #1.
7. Schedule the next meeting.
8. Adjournment.

MINUTES

JOHNSBURG SANITARY DISTRICT
MONTHLY COMMISSION MEETING
SEPTEMBER 6, 2017
5:30 P.M.
ST. JOHN'S SCHOOL HALL


Members present: President Franz Schmitz and Commissioners Dennis Lefeber and Ken Schneider. Also present: Recording Secretary Brenda Schneider and Brian Possin.

1. Call to order. Chairman Schmitz called the meeting to order at 5:31 p.m.

2. Approval of the minutes of the 8/10/17 meeting. Motion by Dennis Lefeber, second by Ken Schneider, to accept the minutes of the August 10th, 2017, meeting as distributed. Motion carried (3-0).

3. Consideration and possible approval to tap the sewer main for a new home on Johnsburg Road. Brian Possin completed and submitted the necessary paperwork. Per communication from Mark Mand Excavating, the proposed connection will be done by installing a wye in the main approx. 5-10' west of the manhole using a slip repair coupling. There will be approx. 5-10' of 4" schedule 40 gravity flow pipe then 2" PVC force main from a duplex pump ejector system in the basement. Motion by Dennis Lefeber, second by Ken Schneider, to approve the tap as outlined by Mark Mand. Motion carried (3-0).

4. Discussion and possible action regarding operational issues:
a. Lift Station. The August pump run time reports for both lift stations were reviewed. Ken Schneider and Doug Sabel plan to investigate the source of heavier flows when a substantial increase in flows is noticed.
b. Grinder pump stations. Nothing to report at this time.
c. Odor issues. Nothing to report at this time.
d. Other operational issues. After resolving an issue with the DNR using the wrong email address, Brenda was able to submit the 2016 Compliance Maintenance Annual Report.

5. Approval of District bills. Motion by Ken Schneider, second by Dennis Lefeber, to approve the bills, (order nos. 59-63) totaling $270.72, noting the transfer of funds was not necessary this month. Motion carried (3-0).

6. Review the draft Operation & Maintenance Agreement submitted by Taycheedah Sanitary District #1. The Commission had nothing further to discuss at this time. Calumet, Taycheedah #3 and Johnsburg will meet at 6:00 p.m. today to discuss the draft document.

7. Schedule the next meeting. The next Commission meeting will be conducted on Thursday, October 5th, at 5:30 p.m., at the Johnsburg School Hall.

8. Adjournment. President Schmitz declared the meeting adjourned at 5:50 p.m.
